most delicious mac and cheese i have ever had in my life. hands down, absolutely LOVED everything, pulled pork was great to. my friend had wings and said he hasn't ever had anything like it. They have a good variety tangy, sweet n spicy, or whatever your into they have it. truly wowed by their food, if i travel back out to Detroit. I would without a doubt come back here.

Super friendly staff. The food was all very good, except for the brisket. The brisket was dry and not very flavorful. Disappointed about that. The spare ribs and chicken were excellent. The variety of sauces was great. We got there at 5:30 on a Friday and had a 20 minute wait for a table.

One of my favorite dining experiences. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was great. Food took a really long time to come out, but was worth the wait. I'll definitely be going back. Best BBQ I've ever had.

Great service, decent amount of beer on tap and in cans. Pizza was good too. Had the pineapple and tasso pie. The pork was absolutely delicious. Baked potato pie was also very good and very unique. My kid got the union Mac and cheese which was big enough to feed 2-3 people. If I'm in the area, I'd go here again.

• Good drinks, down-to-earth servers and atmosphere, good food• Their bloody and whiskey sour were both very good, the bloody actually in my top 5 for sure. The service was prompt and the whole atmosphere is down-to-earth, nothing pretentious.• The food was good, especially the fried pickles and their sauces. The corn muffin and the mac and cheese were tasty, but the meat was a tad of a letdown. Some was a bit dry and not quite as fall apart as you'd expect. Still a solid place for a dinner and to leave full for not crazy amount of money.

All of the restaurants owned by Curt are amazing! I have never met him but my family has been friends with Eric Lines for some time now and we feel like home here. We celebrate many occasions here. The staff is always so kind and cool. The food is out of this world and I can't wait to go back again!

Burrito gets a lot of great reviews and everyone I have gone with enjoys it. Atmosphere is great and so is the food.

Prices have nearly doubled since our last visit. Prices listed online currently are way off as they reflect the old prices. Still they do have the best macaroni and cheese. The burnt ends are good, but now taste very sweet and had several huge chunks of fat in them. I like that they now use paper straws. The salted butterscotch pudding is a tasty treat too and that was one item whose price had not risen.Also.. no Badass beer ☹️

The food is fantastic and you'll do everything you can to eat it with every single one of their homemade sauces. Speaking of sauce, their cocktails are wonderful.

I'm a wing fanatic and they have the absolute best wings I've ever had. Everything else is great too, but the wings are on a different level.

Very pleasantly surprised by this place! Everything we ordered was delicious. Had the sampler with ribs, pulled pork, and smoked chicken, as well as a few different sides. Meat was very good quality, and flavor and preparation were perfect. The sides were excellent, especially mac and cheese and the coleslaw.In my opinion this place gives Slows a run for its money. The food here is just better. The service was super attentive, and prices are very reasonable. This is now our new favorite barbecue joint in the Detroit metro!

Long wait but good bbq. Back ribs were my favorite. Chicken was juicy and the waitresses were easy on the eyes. They have no ranch dressing for a salad?? I know it's petty but kids love American sauce and it's herd to tell a kid they don't have it! Besides that this place is legit.

First time in! The food was great, we enjoyed the ribs, macaroni and cheese and tots...cornbread with butter all so good. Our server Yancey was awesome as well...he was nice and on top of everything, and it was busy. He took the time to explain things on the menu to us and make recommendations. Prices were reasonable as well. Definitely will be back. Thanks!

Delicious barbeque!! Easily sat a party of 8, great service. Cocktails are amazing and so are the burnt ends! Incredible!!

After waiting a short time upstairs very comfortably, we had a great meal. Service was very professionell and polite.

Went to the Union Woodshop for the first time and had a good experience. Food was good and prices were not too bad. Tried a variety of meat as well as the famous Mac and cheese. It has a hint of nutmeg to it which was unexpected. Environment was kind of noisy which made conversations difficult. Liked the retro decor. Would recommend.

One of the best BBQ options in the area, normally busy but the waiting time is spent in the lounge where you can get a beer and play pool or have a nice talk.

The barbecue here is outstanding. The drinks are so great- try the watermelon drink! The ambiance is a bit loud but trendy and fun. Upstairs, the bar area is a lot of fun and now cozy. All around, a great place!

Literally drive over an hour away. Try to make it every other month. This place is absolutely amazing. Never had a bad meal or service in the many times I've been there.

It's been a while since I have been here. Though you get a decent amount of food and the service was good. My steak was overcooked and chewy while my cheesy potatoes were undercooked. It doesn't seem to be the place it once was.

We were there today at about 4:30 and I was surprised that there was a 30 minute wait. It really wasnt bad, we went upstairs and killed time looking at the merchandise they had some interesting and fun things. Once we were seated, the service was excellent and the food was delicious, we got the brisket dinner and a the woodshop burger, everything was really good. We will definitely go back.

Eating a pulled pork pizza. And drawing on the tables. Having fun with the kids upstairs playing pool. A good dinner.

With all the great reviews, I wish we had a better experience. It was a little busy but not overly so, but it took about 15 minutes to get a beer order in after we sat down and another 15 minutes to get the beers themselves. We ended up ordering food at the same time we ordered drinks, and the food took over an hour to get to our table. Our server was very kind and took some things off our bill to make up for it, but an hour for food is a little silly. The food was good, but not amazing. Overall meh for us.

My waitress was very attentive! The salmon legitimately out of this world! I love the fact that it was grilled on a little cedar plank!! The seasoning, tenderness, and the Remoulade seasoning all definitely contributed to my enjoying not one, but two fillets! The baked beans and collard greens on the side were also very delicious! I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through or in this part of metro Detroit! A unique find!

The bar tender here was the best most entertaining one we have had in a long time. We will go back just to be entertained by him and his awesome drinks.

My steak was excellent & cooked to perfection. The mac & cheese was a great side dish. Our server was very pleasant & out glasses stayed full. I would definitely return when visiting MI again.

Excellent BBQ place, I'm a huge fan of their ribs and their appetizers are great! Two of my faves are the fried pickles and the burnt ends!!Such a cute place, even the to go bags have a little something to them 😍 Love all of the Union Joint Restaurants!

Love hitting up the union woodshop. Been multiple times and seems like it gets better everytime. The meats are insanely delicious and they match the barbecue sauces. Add some craft beers to your menu and boom you can't go wrong. Most busy dinner times they have a 45 minute to an hour wait but head upstairs to the chill game, bar area and wait it out in style.

When one goes to a barbecue restaurant, they tend to expect delicious, smoky, tender, mouthwatering, moist, epic, and most importantly delicious meat. The Union Woodshop successfully accomplishes this.

Amazing food and service! Everything was great. I had the brisket with onion rings and mac n cheese.

Always busy but always delicious. Great for a group of friends, a date or even a solo dining experience. The loaded potato pizza and the pulled pork sandwich are my favorites. Fair pricing for downtown Clarkston, a great menu and atmosphere.

Food was tasty came to the table in a reasonable amount of time. Sweet potatoes were delicious, ribs were a little too charred for my taste. I would have enjoyed actually being able to sit comfortably at the table. There was a huge rip in the seat that took at least a quarter of the booth, the table was unstable anytime some one moved so did the table. We were squished to avoid the split instead of sitting comfortably. The rip wasn't new as you could tell it had extended. For as much as you pay for dinner you think they coul fix the seats to keep people comfortable.

Got the woodshop burger w/ mac and cheese side. Mac and cheese left a little to be desired but the burger was excellent and the fries were very tasty. 4 stars instead of 5 mainly due to the combination of low light and loud music which made it very difficult to read the menu or have a conversation.

The service and food were good and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and the drink selection. On the other hand, my order was not correct. Also, a someone spilled a drink on the floor and, even though the workers were aware of it, no one did anything about it. It was also quite noisy. On the positive side, the place was busy, indicating that it was popular. I think it is worth another visit to try one of the wood fired pizzas.

Absolutely great place. They do every dish great. You Can tell everything is homemade from the sauces, fries to obviously the BBQ. I was not disappointed at my first visit here. I got the brisket entree with the mac n cheese and slaw. All 3 were awesome! Come during non peak hours so you don't have to wait.

Awesome brisket, the most Mackin' Mac, and a maple bourbon sundae for dessert. Highly recommended.

Best barbeque I've ever had! I got the Woodshop 101 which had chicken, pulled pork, and baby back ribs. And the mac and cheese 🤤. So good! Both my sides were mac and cheese. The waitress was very nice and made sure we were all good. The only complaint was that there was a large group overflowing into the restaurant when waiting for their table, and they were very loud and preventing me from getting out of my seat to use the restroom. So maybe have large groups wait outside when waiting.

I had a fantastic time in this place. We enjoyed the first-rate vibes and the food. The staff were very attentive. I am happy we eventually decided to visit this restaurant.
